About

Established in 1958, Molten has brought top-of-the- line sports equipment, automotive parts, healthcare equipment, and other products to the world. Each division of Molten has its own brand promise for its customers: “For the real game” for the Sports Division; “Fun and Functional” for the Automotive Parts Division, and “From the Inside Out” for the Healthcare Equipment Division. While each division is unique, these enterprises expand out from the single Molten brand. We will continue believing in the potential of the athletes, referees, engineers, patients, and medical professionals who use our products, as well as in the distinct potential of every Molten employee. We will keep moving to make the world a better place.

Molten expects all suppliers and business partners to conduct all business activities according to the following standards:

Forced Labor

There shall not be any use of forced labor, whether in the form of prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor or otherwise.

Child Labor

No person who is younger than the age of 15 years old (or 14 years old where the laws of the country of manufacture allows) may be employed by a Molten supplier or business partner. Furthermore, Molten requires that all places of employment and manufacturing be in full compliance with local laws and regulations regarding the employment of all labor.

Molten will not tolerate behavior towards its employees that is described but not limited to the following: sexually coercive, abusive, exploitive, or threatening. Suppliers and business partners may not use any form of forced labor, whether through prison labor or any form of intimidation.

Discrimination

Molten suppliers and business partners must make all hiring and employment decisions based solely on an employee’s ability to perform their job. This includes decisions about hiring, salary, benefits, advancement, discipline, termination, and retirement. Discrimination based on gender, race, age, disability, sexual orientation, social or ethnic origin, nationality, religious or cultural beliefs, or political affiliation will not be tolerated.

Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

Molten recognizes and respects the right of employees to freedom of association and collective bargaining and expects all suppliers and business partners to adhere to such philosophy.

Employee Wages and Overtime Compensation

Molten recognizes that wages are essential to meeting employees’ basic needs. All Molten suppliers and business partners must provide all workers’ wages equal to or greater than the minimum wage required by law in the country of manufacture. If the prevailing industry wage exceeds minimum wage, Molten expects employees to be paid according to the industry standard. All employees must receive legally mandated benefits and must be compensated for all overtime hours. Employees shall be compensated for overtime hours at such premium rate as is legally required in the country of manufacture or, in those countries where such laws do not exist, at a rate at least equal to their regular hourly compensation rate.

Work Hours

All employees must be provided a minimum of 24 hours of rest within every 7-day period. In addition, employees must not be required to work more than 60 hours per week (48 hours per week and 12 hours of overtime) or more than the limits on regular and overtime hours allowed by the law of country of manufacture.  If the laws of a country to do not limit the hours of work, employees shall not work more than the regular work week in such country plus 12 hours of overtime. Molten seeks suppliers and business partners who work to increase employee living standards—whether through higher wages or other programs or benefits.

Safe and Healthy Work Environment

Molten strives to ensure its own facilities and those of its business partners provide a safe, sanitary, and healthy workplace that does not expose workers to unsafe and/or hazardous conditions and prevents accidents and injury to health. Business partners and facilities must promote safe occupational and health procedures to all employees. All policies must clearly be stated to employees and made readily available for review and reference.
